My adventure began in spring, 2002 while I took a class of photo in my city to Lévis. It was especially to begin again a former pastime the photography. The camera 35mm Minolta and the some lenses which had been sold several years ago were got back and I began to investigate the night photo.

           In the end of the summer, 2002, I met Dominic Cantin of Quebec. It was for Lévis in full session of night photos and of astrophoto with target the Chateau Frontenac and its environment of stars and planets. I approached him out of curiosity then he spoke to me about the passion to photograph auroras borealis. My surprise was immediate, but without knowing really the dimension which this meeting will have with me. I make a note of the Web site which I shall visit; I had to deal with a boss in the subject.

           Some days later, I had the contact which gave me an alert of aurora borealis; this is in September, 2002. Meeting made because I surrendered to the chalet of Boutin to St-Michel, an

ideal corner and a vision sinks northward over the river St-Laurent. Effectively an aurora borealis appeared, it was very remarkable. I remember very well my nervousness because, besides trying to take photos, it was my first sight of an aurora borealis with life. Fate made that I was able to only contemplate and admire this dance dawn because my photos were all missed due to overexposures (too much prolonged time of pose combined with a very big luminosity of the phenomenon). But be without fear because the next times, I fitted very quickly.

           I became a hunter of auroras borealis and these first-rate lights of the North, hardened by working hardly to make tests photos, searches for places of observation and to know Internet sites specialized spatial weather report which are necessary tools. I do not forget to mention the contribution of the group of discussions Aurore-Québec who are excellent guides. I quickly reached encouraging results, numerous  auroras borealis were able to be seen in 2003, fantastic photos were taken and my circle of acquaintances benefited from it.

 I had rewards while of my photos were chosen in competitions (Nordlys) or served of model of painting or an assembly of a movies - relaxation of cinema.
